So, I decided to try out blogging for the McNemar family... Dan isn't really thrilled about it, but I thought I'd give it a go and see how it turns out. I'm hoping it grows on him!
We've been super, super busy since the start of the year. The shooting range consumes ALL of Dan's time, but we knew owning our own business would be tough and require a lot of work. We're so thankful for good friends that take turns working shifts to give Dan a break here and there... without them, we would rarely see him! Dan is also thinking about joining the Reserves. He thinks this will really benefit our family and I can't argue. It's something he really wants to do and I will support him 100%.
I've been working a tremendous amount of hours with the audit at KAG. I only have to do this one time a year - though it lasts for 2 months - so I can't really complain. It makes juggling the kids, house, family, etc. difficult, but we manage somehow. This year was especially tough, but we were lucky enough to have my mom here to help! She has been a lifesaver this year! She's pulled extra hours with the kids, picked Teagan up at school, cooked dinner, done laundry...you name it, she's done it! I can't imagine where we would be without her right now.

Teagan is finishing up her last year of pre-K. She's going to attend the summer program at Rivertree this year (she normally spends the summers at home). I think she'll have a blast, especially since her best friend Abby is attending as well. They will get to go on field trips and have sprinkler days! The ice cream truck also comes once a week. She's really excited! Teagan has turned out to be quite the little performer. She sings and dances, and she loves cheerleading! She takes all sorts of classes through the Y, but her friend Chelsea wants her to join NEO All-Star Cheerleading. If she continues to show such interest, we may make the investment indeed! Teagan is her mom through and through - attitude, sass, spunk... she is truly MY child! She is also loving and tender, and very creative. If she isn't dancing and singing, she's making something - put her at a table with paper, scissors, glue, tape, stapler, crayons and markers, she's happy for hours!
Aidan will be 3 at the end of May. His personality has really

evolved and he's quite the comedian. He is so cuddly and happy, always smiling and laughing! He does have a temper (Dan and I aren't sure which of us he got that from...ha!), but at this age, it's so cute! If he sees you laughing at him though, it really hurts his feelings. For about 6 months now, Aidan has been obsessed with dogs. He LOVES to pretend he's a dog, using anything he can find as a leash. We've been fortunate to have taught him that he can't put the leash around his neck...and they don't go to bed with him either! It doesn't matter where we are, if the mood strikes him, he turns into a dog - barking, panting, on all fours... the works! I love it because he truly has a vivid imagination. Aidan is also a performer - he sings and dances already! We sing and dance as a family almost daily, and he surprises us every day with new song lyrics that he's picked up.
