Aidanstein

Aidan had his sleep study last night at Akron Children's Hospital. When he finally went in to the Stone Respiratory Center six weeks ago, following four lung infections in under four months, they determined that he definitely had uncontrolled asthma and were also concerned about possible apnea episodes at night because his snoring was out of control and he was up and down all night. I personally think he's fine, but better safe than sorry. I will say that since he's been on an asthma medication regimen, he's not snoring as much and no wheezing, but he is still waking up every night and requiring long naps each day. In fact, at almost four (he will turn four at the end of the month) he's still asking for naps!

Anyway, he was such a brave boy last night. He tuned up to cry a couple of times but sucked it up and held strong. In fact, he didn't actually cry until this morning when they were removing the tape on his face. I am so proud of him for handling it like a big boy! Ironically, after they got him all hooked up and he was lying there like the picture below, I had to fight back the tears. I know he wasn't in any pain but I felt so bad for him. He kept saying, "Mom, when it's wake up time, I'm not coming back here ever. I will sleep at my house forever ever."
