A Blessed Day... feels great to be a mom!

Perfect day... beautiful, 70 degrees and sunny at the zoo!  Dan's parents joined us for some zoo fun on Mother's Day.  The kids lead us to their favorite exhibits and it was nice to leisurely stroll around since we visit so often - our annual membership is worth every dollar! 

I noticed today that Aidan seems to have shot up a few inches suddenly.  I knew that his shorts from last year seemd to be getting too short to wear, but it didn't hit me how much taller he was until today.  My baby is growing up so quickly.

After the zoo, we made a stop at Mema's to drop off her Mother's Day gift.  How blessed I feel to have the opportunity to see my mom on Mother's Day.  Only a few years ago, she was 500 miles away in NC and we wouldn't have seen her on a day like today.  I'm also thankful to have a wonderful mom who gets up early every morning to drive over and get my kids ready for school and on the bus... and a helpful mom who takes care of our laundry and dishes while we work... and a loving mom who meets the kids' bus in the afternoon and watches them until we get home from work, helping with homework, playing games, and refereeing fights between my two angels.  Days like today make me really count my blessings!!
