Busy...busy...busy... that's the theme for this post. It's year-end at work and I've been working like a mad woman. I've also been sick with strep throat, as have Teagan and Aidan... and as of our weekend trip to Toledo, Dan as well. It surely made its rounds! I've been reading at night to try to finish up The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo that I started reading on my trip to NC. I've been working on the yearbook for the school. The list goes on and on...
So, Teagan and Dan were supposed to go to the Father Daughter Dance at school this past Friday but it was cancelled due to an approaching winter storm. We had to be in Toledo early the next morning for Teagan's cheer competition, so we headed on out Friday night and stayed up there. The drive wasn't as bad as I had anticipated, but driving in a winter storm is never fun...and at times it was rather scary... three or four lanes with no lines and cars making their own tracks... scary! Teagan brought her friend Bella on the trip and of course Aidan was with us. He has a new friend at cheer competitions now... Teagan's teammate Kennedy has a little brother, Dillon, that he loves to play with so they kept each other company. The girls had a few fumbles in their routine this time so they only took 4th place... it happens.

On the way home from Toledo, we stopped at Wasabi for dinner with friends. The best part of cheer is spending time with friends. We've been fortunate to have made such good friends at cheer and it's nice to have someone to travel with and have fun!

On Sunday, I let the kids go out and play in all of the snow. Yes, they've been sick, but both have been on medication and they were feeling better. I couldn't let the opportunity pass - it was sunny and in the 40's and lots and lots of snow!
